Hey Ancora? Do you love the Pope? Do you love the Church? Do you love your adoration times? Guess what, you are not the only ones! David Hartline, author of "The Tide Is Turning Toward Catholicism” said that instead of turning away from the faith and embracing the relativism of society, more and more youths are actually embracing the teachings of the Church.(Zenit, December 6, 2007) Don’t you love our solid 2,000-year-old faith? It is definitely much more attractive than the latest whims and trends-it is something solid that will last! The youth are what make the Church young and by using our talents we can help speak out about our faith. For example, “Many younger Catholic athletes regularly speak out about their faith to various Catholic media," while "Catholic-oriented films like 'Bella' showcase rising stars like Leo Severino, Eduardo Verástegui and Alejandro Monteverde." says Hartline. But it is not just the stars that count. One look at the numbers of recent Catholic youth conferences worldwide show that young people are enthusiastic about confession, adoration and the rosary. "While some Christian churches are in a free fall," said Hartline, "the Catholic Church is one of the only organized churches growing. Many people attribute this to Benedict XVI's strong leadership, but it is also because of the gift of the teaching authority of the Church, which frees us from our beliefs being molded by those who dissect opinion polls.” So keep going Ancora members!
